Weekly Round-Up #1

As a new addition to A Little Lilly, I thought I would start sharing a 'Weekly Round-Up' with you each Sunday, now that I'm living in New York!

This week has been pretty hectic in terms of settling down and getting to know the area where I'm living, and although it's all pretty stressful, it's so much fun getting to see new places - and things you only thought existed in the movies!

Here are a few snapshots from when I've been exploring Manhattan, the first picture is on Broadway in Soho. For my first few nights, I stayed in the Sheraton Tribeca New York Hotel on Canal Street. This is just a few blocks from Soho, China Town and Little Italy, so a great location to be in when I'd first arrived. So much to see right on my doorstep!

I have now moved to Midtown Manhattan, which is where I'll be staying for the coming 5 months. One huge perk of this is that I get the Empire State Building as my view on my walk to work every morning, so I really can't complain!

As I've said before, I am doing an internship here, so of course - it's not always the most glamorous of jobs. On Friday I had to take the Subway to Bergdorf Goodman for a job. I can't deny I was not over the moon about the Subway... If you think it's bad in London... Boy oh boy, this place takes the biscuit... It's gross. But when I arrived, things most certainly got better. I was greeted with a view of snowy Central Park, and the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue.

I've been here a week, and it's safe to say, I already love this city!

Let me know if you have any recommendations of places to eat, see, shop, explore! For more pictures, follow me on Instagram, come chat on Twitter and follow me on Bloglovin' so you can see next weeks Weekly Round-Up!

  2. Even if it is not that glamorous, I am sure this internship will bring you farther towards your goals and dreams and I mean, hey, you get to be in one of the best cities in the world, so it can't be all bad!
