The Best of the Bunch: Drug Store Foundations

With being a student, I generally do opt for drugstore foundations, they seem to just get better in terms of quality and are generally really affordable. I'm always looking for new foundations to try, and over time, I think I've tried a large majority of drugstore foundations.

First off is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. This is beautiful and lightweight, but still gives great coverage, without being cakey or drying on the skin. It smells great too! I use the shade True Ivory (103) - As you can tell from the picture, it's currently far too light for me!

Don't be fooled by the CC in Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. This has got to be up there in my all time favourite foundations. This leaves the skin looking completely flawless and has excellent longevity. It goes on to the skin perfectly and leaves a beautiful natural finish. I have the shade Ivory (31)
I still have a slight tan from holiday - hence many of these shades being the wrong colour!
I recently got my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation back out, because my skin is much more tanned than usual and therefore needs something a little darker, and I only have a darker shade in this. I couldn't believe that I hadn't used this foundation in so long, the coverage, the glow it leaves, it really does leave the skin looking and feeling more hydrated. I have been using the shade Light Beige (53).

You'll have heard me talk about this one before, it's The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream. I know many people aren't really fans of the whole BB thing, but this really is a fantastic product. I'll probably put it away for Winter now, as I think it gives more of a summer complexion, but it's lovely nonetheless. It is very cooling on the skin, and leaves it looking very dewy, so it does need a powder, but it's great coverage, and has a lovely colour to it. I have the Glowing Shade.

Last but no means least is the L'OrĂ©al True Match Foundation.  This foundation creates a flawless finish that blends with the texture of your skin. This is a really build-able foundation, that doesn't leave the skin looking caked in makeup at all. I have used this foundation so much, the shade number has rubbed off, so I'm sorry about that!!

What are your favourite drugstore foundations? Any recommendations?
