Autumn Drugstore Beauty Haul

It'd been a while since I had gotten to roam the aisles of Boots beauty, so when I finally got chance, I couldn't help but spoil myself with a few new products! Some I'd heard my friends or other bloggers speak about, and others I just spotted and thought I'd give a go.

The Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation is very similar to the Healthy Mix Foundation. It has good coverage but I would say it is slightly more dewy and the coverage isn't as full as the foundation. Having said that, I do feel like it's much nicer on the skin. It goes on extremely easily and is really easy to work with!

I've been after the Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer for some time now, but every time I've been into Boots, for some reason I didn't pick it up. I went for the luminous option (there is also a matte primer in the same range) as I have normal to dry skin. Although I do think this gives the skin an extra boost of hydration, which is essential for me during the colder months, I don't think it illuminates the complexion terribly well.

I've heard many people talk about L'OrĂ©al's Colour Riche eyeshadows many times before, but not so much their quads. This gorgeous Colour Riche Quad in the shade Eau de Rose caught my eye and I thought it would be perfect for the Autumn months. The shadows are really well pigmented and have great longevity, and the quad, shaped into an eye, gives you an idea of where the shadows can/should go. This is great for someone like me who is totally into my nude shades usually. I'm also loving the colours because I have green eyes, and they seem to pop a little more when I'm wearing the purply shades.

This gorgeous Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick in the shade Light It Up is perfect for this time of year. The lip pencil itself isn't too drying and glides on so easily. I recently wore this on a night out with friends, and every single one of them complimented me on my lip colour and asked what it was. That has got to be a winner!

I'm totally in love with this Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher in the shade Soft Murano. This is really blendable and gives a lovely look of been out in the cold (without looking too red) and looks really rosy. You know the cheeks I mean, right? Like when it's nippy outside and your cheeks look slightly pinched. It's not too in your face and is a colour I didn't already have in my collection due to it being a deeper pinky/red. I don't have many Max Factor products, but I'll definitely be paying them more attention in the future!

Lastly is the Superfacialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Radiance Day Cream. I've heard Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup talk about Una Brennan's products so I thought I'd check them out and ended up picking up this product. So far, I really like it, but I'll do a review on it in the next couple of weeks when I've tested it out for a longer period!

Any drugstore recommendations?

  1. Great haul, I love all of these products except for the day cream. I do however love the Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Skin Defence Moisturiser it is really brightening and smells like oranges.

  3. I have heard really good things about Bourjois foundations! I have a few samples to try including the Healthy mix one. Those Maybelline Colour Drama lipsticks look so similar to the NARS one! This red looks amazing.
