Weekly Round-Up #14

My time in New York is a time that I know I will remember forever, and it makes it so much more special when I can share my experience with those who've known me for a long time. Like when my boyfriend came, those memories we made are ones I'll treasure for a very long time.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of my best friend of ten years coming to visit me, it was lovely being able to show her my favourite parts of the city, whilst getting to catch up with our friendship still being exactly the way we left it.
During the weekend we went to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, something I'd wanted to do for ages. It was so interesting and a real eye opener to how precious life is. If you're ever in New York, you really should go!
We brunched at a little place in West Village called Agave. It was $29 for your meal and all you could drink mimosa's. It's safe to say I was a little drunk when we left - and full up on delicious food!

On Saturday evening we took the obligatory trip to Times Square, followed by a few more cocktails... oops. My friend also raided the touristy gift shop - is it only me who hates these places?!
On Sunday we visited Grand Central Station and then walked to Central Park. It was a pretty long walk in the stifling heat, but was so lovely to chill on the grass all afternoon - after munching down a hot dog, of course! Sunday evening we dined in Little Italy and went to the Empire State Building. The city looked breath takingly beautiful!
Every week I grow more and more in love with this city! Only 8 weeks left!
