The Body Shop Body Butter Review

I suffer from pretty dry skin, so I try to moisturise twice a day, it's not so difficult in the summer months but when winter hits, this routine definitely gets more tricky! I mean, who wants to mess about with applying body butter when all you really want to do is get wrapped up in your cosy pj's and into bed?!

When I first started using the Body Shop Body Butters, the skin, on my legs especially were resembling that of a snake, scaly and pretty darn ugly. After 1-2 uses of the Hemp and Aloe Body Butters, they looked and felt shiny and soft. All the Body Butters are extremely thick in consistency and soak into your skin without leaving an oily residue. Which for me, means huge ticks!

I've seen so many people turn their noses up to the Hemp Body Butter, which in all honesty, is my favourite. The smell is definitely something you have to get used to, but it isn't a scent which lingers or is overpowering, and once it has soaked into the skin, the smell has all but gone. This Body Butter is for very dry skin, so I use this when those scales are beginning to make an appearance, and it makes them vanish within one use!

Both the Aloe and the Blueberry Body Butters are great for dry skin. Again they are thick in consistency and they leave the skin feeling thoroughly moisturised. The Aloe Body Butter doesn't smell of much, which is great for those of you who have a sensitive nose when it comes to this kind of thing (and it's also said to be great used as a base when fake tanning).

The Blueberry Body Butter (which was a special edition) smells rather sweet, but like the others, the fragrance isn't too overpowering and is much nicer when you're wanting your skin to be left smelling fresh and fruity!

What are your favourite body butters?
